Dorchester Bay Selected to Host Kuehn Fellow

Dorchester Bay very excited to be one of only seven area non-profits selected to host a Kuehn Fellow from 2017 – 2019.

Robert H. Kuehn, Jr. created the Kuehn Charitable Foundation in 1999 out of a lifetime interest in transforming historic buildings into mixed-income housing. The Foundation supports community preservation in Massachusetts.

The Kuehn Fellowship is a two-year practice-based, paid fellowship for recent masters or professional level graduates with interest in a career in affordable housing and community development. The goals of the Kuehn Fellows program are twofold: to inspire and equip women and men at the start of their careers to follow Boston developer Bob Kuehn’s vision and vocation in affordable housing, and to add to the capacity of Massachusetts non-profit affordable housing organizations.

This year, seven fellows will be selected in a competitive process for a July, 2017 start date at a Greater Boston-based housing nonprofit. Fellows receive further support and career development opportunities through the Fellow cohort, an individual mentor and monthly Fellow gatherings.

The fellowship is best suited to applicants who are or have recently finished a graduate degree.  If you know someone who would be a great fellow, please encourage them to apply.
