The Fairmount Indigo CDC Collaborative, (Dorchester Bay EDC, Southwest Boston CDC, and Codman Square NDC), co-sponsored the Boston Global Climate Strike with Fridays For Future Massachusetts and numerous other partners.
Attendees stood in solidarity with hundreds of thousands of people in 750 cities worldwide demanding bold action to keep the global temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels and ensure climate justice and equity.
This year’s strike centered around the notion of “People, Not Profit.” Massachusetts residents, local organizations and coalitions, and students from nearby colleges and universities came together to demand that our local and state policymakers take decisive actions to align with this message.
